June 19th   

Daniel 2:20-22 Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.”

HE has a plan. HE is capable. Nothing surprises Him. He has all of the wisdom and all of the power. This world may seem to be out of control, but HE is still in control. He told us it would be like this in this world and only get worse the closer we get to His return. We don’t need to be afraid.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Let Him free you from your fears. Whatever it is, He knows, He understands, and He’s got it. Fear only God. Not to be afraid of God but be afraid to sin because it separates us from Him, be afraid of being separated from Him. The deepest respect, reverence and awe of God will help keep you from sin and bring you closer to Him.

Psalm 34:7-8 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

Psalm 34:9-11 Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Fear the Lord as the most HOLY, ALL POWERFUL GOD that He is but also draw near to the tender, loving Father that He is:

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Jesus, thank you for making a plan and for telling us about it so that we know what to expect in this world around us. Thank you for being the Awesome, Holy God that you are and also holding me close and being my comfort through the tough things I face. Thank you for overcoming the world and providing that victory for me as well. Help me to walk in that victory. Help me to remember that you are coming for me. Help me to be strong as I wait for your return.
