Not only does God restore us, He also restores what we have lost. Whether that is ourselves, our relationships, our ministry, or whatever. We are not without hope, we don’t have to write it off as a loss, never to be regained. God is fully capable of restoration, -remember He specializes in restoring the lost.

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

You say, “Well, it’s my fault, I didn’t handle it properly, or I messed up -again,” or whatever. You know what? It’s not the healthy that need a doctor, it is the sick.

Mark 2:17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

We are broken, we are human, we are flawed. WE are the ones He came for, the ones He LOVES. He didn’t come for perfect people, He came for us. (Yes, we shouldn’t stay in the same cycle of sin, that is what sanctification is for and we should be sure to get on that path.) But, to head in that direction we have to LET Him help us and to do that, we can’t let guilt or shame keep us from Him. There is HOPE. HE is Hope! SO, if you have something in your life that needs to be restored, talk to the Lord HONESTLY about it. Be honest about where and how you lost it. Humble yourself and let Him give you hope and elevate you to where you need to be.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Humble yourself, then, take it back, claim it restored. Quit thinking hopelessly and start praising Him for restoration and healing in the situation. (Way Maker: “Even when you don’t see it He’s working; even when you don’t feel it, He’s working”)

Then in prayer Bind what needs to be bound in Jesus Name and Loose what needs to be loosed in Jesus Name.

Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Quit thinking you can’t do that because you are not worthy! He gave US that authority! He gave that authority to the Church, that’s US! He didn’t give it to a bunch of perfect people, He gave it to His FOLLOWERS! We need to step up, quit listening to the lies of the enemy and use that authority in the areas of our lives that need restoration, and then praise Him while we wait for the results to show up in our physical life. If you look at whenever God did any type of healing or miracle in the Bible, He always asked for participation on the part of the person/people involved. He told the blind man to wash, the lame man to pick up his mat and walk, the man with the withered hand to stretch it out, Elisha to throw a stick in the Jordan then the axe head floated, the Israelites to dig ditches so they would fill with water during a drought, the army to march around Jericho, Moses to hold up his staff so the Red Sea would part, and so on, again and again.

So, ignore the lies of the enemy, humble yourself, be honest, take it back spiritually, and then praise, praise, praise.

Isaiah 61:4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.

It doesn’t matter how long it has been lost or ruined, He can restore. Read and bask in Isaiah 61 today. It is a prophecy about Jesus.

Thank you Lord that you can and desire to restore the broken, lost parts of my life. Help me to participate in the way that you want me to, I need you, I am broken and not worthy but I thank you that that was never a condition for your love. Thank you and lead me in this process of restoration. I commit this to you and ask you to show me what needs to be bound and loosed in my life. In Jesus Name, YOUR WILL BE DONE!
