JULY 10th

Let’s continue to look at the path to victory that Jesus has pointed out to us. Today go and read John chapter 17 and let the words of His prayer speak truth deep into your heart and mind. Check out part of it here:

John 17:9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

John 17:13-17 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

This chapter really shows us the heart of Jesus toward us. This chapter, this prayer speaks to our identity. He calls us His, given to Him by the Father. He declares that we are not of this world.

John 17:24-26 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

He wants us to be WITH Him, there in glory, and He wants us to experience His love and unity with He and the Father. He wants to share Heaven with us. He calls us HIS, we are CHOSEN, we are LOVED.

So the next time the enemy wants a seat at your table and starts speaking lies about your identity. You throw this back in His face. Better yet speak these truths into your heart and mind every day until your mind is renewed and transformed and the enemy has to start picking on someone else because you don’t give him the time of day. You are who GOD says you are: You are a child of the King, the Most High, the Almighty God, Creator of the Universe, who loves you enough to sacrifice the most precious thing -His Son just to save you!

Father God, thank you for loving me so much! Thank you for giving your Son just for me. Help me to know you more so that I can love you more. Thank you for reminding me that I am Your child! Help me to act like it. Help me to act like I belong to You not this world, remind me that I am just visiting here and that I can’t take anything but people home to Heaven with me. Help me to keep my mind on You and Your purpose. Thank you, please renew my mind today with this Truth.

FRIDAY: I AM A CHILD OF GOD!

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
