NOVEMBER 6th

What about when we see the breach in others or in general? As a Church we are called to run into the breach and do battle. We are not called to just talk about the breach or to criticize others in the breach or run from the breach. We are called to do battle. We are called to use our resources for the Kingdom of God. What are we doing today to deal with the breach? The breach in our own lives, the breach in our family, the breach in the Church, the breach in our country…Jesus working in us and through us will repair the breach.

We are called to battle, we are called to prayer, we are called to worship. But we are NOT called to ignore the breach, or to avoid the breach or to pretend the breach doesn’t exist. We are called to be obedient and deal with the breach.

In battle, when the enemy breached a weak spot, soldiers from other areas would come to that area to fight. When the commander recognized weak areas that were about to be breached or were under attack, he would call additional troops to come alongside and fight with the soldiers under attack in order to strengthen the area. That is what we are called to do. We are called to the breach to come alongside our brothers and sisters there. We stand and fight with them against the enemy. We don’t come to fight our brothers and sisters or be critical of them or gossip about them, we come to stand with them, to strengthen and support them, to go to battle with them against the enemy.

1 Peter 5:8-9 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

1 Peter 4:7-10 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

James 5:19-20 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

We must be filled with the compassion and love of Christ as we survey the breaches around us. After all, that is what we want for ourselves too. This is an opportunity for us to come together against the enemy and repair the breaches. As a Church around this globe it is time for us to come together and do warfare against the enemy for our young people, for our families, marriages, kids, elderly, and pastors. It is time for us to run into the breach and join forces against the enemy and then hold the line!

Are you in? Are you ready?

Lord, thank you for being the answer to the breach. Thank you for creating us to do battle instead of just watching. Thank you for offering your wisdom and strength and tactical plan for us to use against the enemy. Help us to be bold and brave, help us to be gracious and compassionate with each other and help us to be wise. Holy Spirit lead us into the breach and show us exactly how to fight the enemy.
