God is not ashamed of you. Did you know that? Even though yes, you do not live up to perfect standards, even though you fall SOOOOO short. The last part of Hebrews 2:11 says that Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters. And when we become Christ followers that is exactly what happens, we become children of God. Not only is He not ashamed, He loves us so much that He was willing to do exactly what was needed to save us.
Hebrews 2:14-15 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Hebrews 2:17 For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
He is not ashamed of us, He gets us. He didn’t have to, but He chose us. He chose us and He is FOR us. The enemy would like to convince us that we are not worthy and therefore we are not loved. God’s love for us is not, has never been and will never be based on our worthiness. We AREN”T worthy and never will be, but that’s the point. So walk in the truth that He is not ashamed of you, He loves you and He is for you! And don’t ever forget that He is praying for you!
Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Ephesians 3:12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
Romans 8:31-34 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
You are chosen my friend! As you face this day, let that sink in to your heart and mind and affect how you react to your day and how you react to others. You are loved by the King of kings! The Creator of the Universe is your biggest cheerleader, and you are His Masterpiece! Rejoice in that!
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Jesus, thank you for not being ashamed of me. Thank you that your love for me is not based on my worthiness or goodness. Thank you for creating me with a purpose and help me to understand that purpose. Show me what you want me to do today. Thank you for choosing to put me on your team and for praying for me. Help me to recognize the enemy’s lies for what they are -lies. Help me remember the Truths in Your Word and stand on those instead. Thank you for your perfect love for me.
