April 17th

You know what blesses the Lord? -When we cry out to Him. He delights in our cries for help. When we recognize that we need Him, it blesses Him. When we cry out “Help me Jesus I need you,” He always answers with grace. When we humble ourselves, He lifts us up. When come to Him for help, He is happy to be our provider. He does not find it irritating or bothersome. He is delighted to be asked. He longs to pour out His love and grace to us. Remember He was here on earth, as a human, during trying times. HE understands and longs to comfort us. Need lifting up? Need encouragement? Feeling empty and need filling up? Need Joy? Ask the one who loves you most and He will be happy to meet your needs.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Philippians 4:5b-7 The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

He longs for us to look to Him for comfort, for grace and mercy, for strength, for peace, for love. He longs to meet our needs.

James 4:7-8a Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.

He longs to protect us, nurture us, grow us, and keep us safe. We tend to wander into dangerous territory, making ourselves easy targets for the enemy but Jesus wants to keep us safe within His will.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

When we find ourselves off track, we only need to run to Him, His arms are always open, He ALWAYS hears our cries of repentance and welcomes us “home.” Repentance is ALWAYS met with grace and love.

When we realize that we have been walking in our own strength rather than by the power of His Spirit, all we need to do is humble ourselves and He will fill us and lift us up. He is HAPPY to pull us close to Him again without hesitation.

Jesus, thank you for loving so much. Thank you for being happy to meet all my needs and be my everything. Help me not to hesitate to come to you. Remind me that it blesses you when I am willing to let you help me. Thank you for never pushing me away and for always chasing after me when I stray. Help me to stay in your will, close to you. Thank you for knowing exactly what I need and what is best for me. Thank you for your perfect love.
