You have only one thing to do today…Follow Jesus!
But I have a busy day! Well then, follow Him through the day! What if His plan for your day is way better than yours? Yes, there are things we have to do in our day. If we have a job, we have to go to work. We have to feed our children or spouse, etc. We have to shower and clean up after ourselves. We have to pay bills and shop for groceries, etc. But what if in the midst of all of that there was a more important plan? Besides, wouldn’t you rather go through your day doing all of those things WITH Jesus instead of on your own?
Do you want to be so busy that you miss what GOD has planned?
John 12:26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
Luke 9:23-24 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Whoever loses their life for my sake will save it, whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Do you want to find/save your life? Start making your day His. If you give your day to the Lord, yes, even in the midst of all of those things that are necessary for you to do, you will find you day full of life. You know the saying, you can’t add more days to your life but you can add more life to your days. Even our busy days, when we see them as God’s days and approach them with an openness to His will, we will see Him add more life, His abundant life, to our days! I know sometimes it seems hard to imagine. But this is an attitude and mindset change. If you are willing to give Him your day then He will give you His life. You will wonder why you didn’t do that before!
Jesus, thank you for your willingness to bless me with your life. I want that everyday. Help me to surrender my plans to you and my day to you. Help me to see you and feel you even in the midst of my busiest days. Help me to keep you and your plan in focus as I go through this busy day. Thank you for your perfect love and perfect plan!
