SEPTEMBER 21st

Psalm 119:10-18 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. Be good to your servant while I live, that I may obey your word. Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

So much in this passage.

I seek you with all my heart…do we?

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Do we have His Word hidden in our heart? (Learn, memorize, take to heart)

Have we asked Him to teach us?

Do we speak His Word?

Do we rejoice in His Word? Everyday?

Do we meditate and think about, ponder, focus on, His Word?

Do we delight in it?

Do we neglect it?

Have we asked Him to open our eyes so that we can understand His Word?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Training in righteousness…that is where we are, we are training. We want His righteousness so we ought to be burying ourselves in His Word daily.

What?? Righteousness? Yes…

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

We learn, memorize and take to heart His Word so that we might not sin against Him.

Read back through that passage in Psalm 119 again. What do you need to take to heart and apply from that passage today? Do you use His Word everyday through out your day?

Lord thank you for your Word. Help me not to neglect your Word. Help me to seek you with all of my heart. Help me to completely immerse myself in your Word so that I may be trained in righteousness and so that I might keep from sinning against you. Help me to learn and speak your Word everyday.
