Are you “All In”?

I heard a profound saying the other day…

“Partial commitment doesn’t produce partial results, partial commitment produces no results.”

To experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives, requires total surrender. It is not possible to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit if we only partially surrender.

It is the way of the Christ follower. We are called to total surrender. We are called to follow Him, that requires total commitment. It is not possible to live for self AND live for Him. We can fool ourselves into thinking that it is possible but it is not.

Hard truth.

Matthew 12:30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

1 Peter 4:2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We want God’s results in our lives. We want the Holy Spirit to have His way in us and in our lives. This means that we have to give up our own way, our own plans, our own desires. May these verses bring fruit in our lives.

Lord, thank you for making a way for me to be all in even though I am human. Forgive me for not always being all in and surrendered to You. Help me to give up anything that I am holding back and let go of my own desires… Help me to deny myself and take up my cross daily and follow you. Holy Spirit help me to surrender myself as an act of worship to you so that you can make me who I was created to be and so that Your fruit can flow from me.
