OCTOBER 17th
RAISE A HALLELUJAH!
Let’s lift up praises to our gracious Heavenly Father today! We have so many reasons to praise Him! Here are a few reminders:
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, BECAUSE THE ONE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN THE ONE WHO IS IN THE WORLD.
1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, HE HEARS US.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
1 John 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER—JESUS CHRIST, the Righteous One.
1 John 2:25 And this is what HE PROMISED US—ETERNAL LIFE.
1 John 3:1 See WHAT GREAT LOVE THE FATHER HAS LAVISHED ON US, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
1 Peter 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy HE HAS GIVEN US NEW BIRTH INTO A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and INTO AN INHERITANCE THAT CAN NEVER PERISH, SPOIL OR FADE. This inheritance is kept in heaven for YOU, WHO THROUGH FAITH ARE SHIELDED BY GOD’S POWER until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 2:9 But YOU ARE A CHOSEN PEOPLE, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, GOD’S SPECIAL POSSESSION, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. INSTEAD HE IS PATIENT WITH YOU, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Need I go on? SO MANY reasons to raise a hallelujah today!!
Of note, the verse above says that Jesus is our advocate (1 John 2:1) and Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would be our advocate as well (John 14:26 and 15:26), so do you know what that means? It means we have not one, but TWO defense attorneys pleading our case to the Judge! The Word says that satan, the accuser, is always making accusations about us, but Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making our case and pointing out that next to our name in the Lamb’s Book of Life it says “Paid in Full!”
HALLELUJAH!
Lord you are worthy of all praise! Thank you for who you are, for all that you have done, for your amazing grace, boundless love and mercy that is new every morning. Thank you for paying the price for ALL of my sins. Thank you for not even remembering my sin. Help me to not dwell on it but to praise you instead. Thank you for your great patience! Help me to raise a hallelujah to you all day today, let your praise continually be on my lips!
Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
