2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight.
Hebrews 11:1,3 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. …By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
We must live by faith…really what other choice do you have? I mean we have a choice of course, but, now that we know the truth, how can we choose to live any other way?
How else will we live? We as humans were created to live by faith whether we acknowledge it or not. What else are we going to choose to put our faith in? Science?? Science discovers things it does not create them. Science is faulty, scientists often realize later that they were either wrong or didn’t see the whole picture which changes the understanding and interpretation of everything, etc.
God created the world. Who else should our faith be in today? We can’t go back to living in ignorance. Now we know so now we are accountable. To live pretending that we don’t know the Truth, or to pretend to live in ignorance, is an eventual death sentence. Not to mention that it will kill us slowly from the inside out when we try to pretend and not be real.
So, let’s not compartmentalize God by confining His Lordship to only creation. Let’s give Him all of us and live by faith. Our whole lives, all of us, not just one day a week when we go to church. Not just for a few minutes when we read our Bibles and pray. Let’s be willing to acknowledge that He is God of every area of our being and life.
The truth is, the scientists and the rest of the world are just pretending anyway. Deep in their being they know that God created the world but they refuse to accept it because they don’t want to give up their selfishness. We don’t want to join them.
Romans 1:18-20 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Hebrews 12:1-4 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Lord thank you for choosing me and making the Truth known to me. Help me live by faith. Show me every area of my life that I am not surrendered to faith. Help me clearly see your will for my life and my heart and help my heart and mind to line up with your will. Holy Spirit show me how to walk in faith today.
