DAY 35

The Lamb changes everything!

Instead of wrath, we get grace.

Instead of judgement, we get mercy.

Instead of the consequence of sin, we get the reward of salvation.

Instead of death, we get life.

Instead of dread and fear, we get hope and peace.

Instead of being scared out of our wits when we read Revelation, we get confidence in our savior and grateful hearts because instead of focusing on judgement we get to recognize His mercy for all who will choose Him.

It is all about the Lamb, it has always been all about the Lamb, and it always will be all about the Lamb.

It is all about the Lamb:

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

It has always been all about the Lamb:

1 Peter 1:18-20 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

It always will be all about the Lamb:

Revelation 5:6-7,9-10, 12-13

6-7 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits a of God sent out into all the earth. He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

9-10 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

12-13 In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

Jesus, the Lamb of God, was chosen to save us before the creation of the world. He then came here to live among us and became the sacrificed Lamb for us at the appointed time, enabling us to now have a relationship with God ourselves everyday here on earth and enabling us to in the future reach Heaven where we will worship the Lamb forever.

It is all about the Lamb, it has always been all about the Lamb, and it will always be all about the Lamb.

The Lamb changes everything!

Jesus, Lamb of God, there are not words to express my gratitude for you and your sacrifice. Thank you for being willing to change everything. You are worthy of all praise and glory and honor! Today I worship you, help me to live my life with a spirit of thanksgiving for all you have done for me and will do for me in the future. Remind me each day that I owe you everything and help me to live that way. Thank you that your love is more than I can wrap my human brain around and help me to be mindful of your love each day.
