The Book of Revelation Devotions Day 30

DAY 30

As you face what lays ahead of you, whether that is in your day today or in your lifetime, set your concerns about the future on the altar. Remember that you were born for this time, created with a purpose that is specific for your life and for this day. God’s perfect plan will prevail and you have been blessed with the opportunity to participate in that plan in a very special way. Lean in to Jesus and lean in to your purpose. Quiet your heart, feel His peace as He reassures you that He’s got this. Let the words of this song sink in to your bones:

Crazy all around, Your world is crashing down. I know nothing seems right, But you just be the light. Don’t be afraid… This is why you were made. Just let me have your worry, And don’t let your light fade.

For such a time as this I made you, In such a time as this, I’m with you. For such a time as this, I love you so, -You’re not alone.

You wonder if I can understand, Don’t forget I’m also fully man. I’ve felt the heaviness of dread, When I could see what lay ahead. I remember loneliness And the emptiness of loss As I prayed in the garden And stumbled to the cross.

For such a time as this I made you, In such a time as this, I’m with you, For such a time as this, I love you so, You’re not alone.

You don’t have to fear, I am always here. When you want to cry, I am by your side. You don’t need to doubt, It’s all planned out, I’m with you now.

You think your life is broken, Listen child you are not forgotten. I see you in your place, Just focus on my face. There’s nothing new, And nothing I can’t do. Just lean into me, And I’ll lean into you.

For such a time as this, I made you, In such a time as this, I’m with you. For such a time as this, I love you so, You’re not alone.

Acts 17:24-26 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.”

God decided when you would be born, where you would live and who you would cross paths with as a part of His divine plan for redemption of humankind.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Jesus, thank you for including me in the plan. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. Help me remember that I am not just a bystander or observer. Thank you for reminding me that you understand what I feel when I face everything ahead of me. Help me to lean in to you. Thank you for the peace of knowing that your plan is perfect and you created me with that plan in mind.
